Find the words

Activity type: this is a quick spelling game in which students have to spell out words for clothing.

Level: Beginner

Teacher's notes:

1. Write these letters on the board in a line:
   
   D G P T H A T S K
   
   
2. Divide the group up in to pairs.
   
3. Tell the pairs to look at the line of letters and to spell out a piece of clothing as quickly as they can. The answer is 'Hats.'
   
4. Tell them that they are now going to do the same thing with twelve more lines of letters. Handout a worksheet between each pair.
   
5. Tell the pairs to find the words for clothing as quickly as possible.
   
6. The first pair to finish are the winners.
