Sentence Ordering

Type: Word order activity
Level: Beginners & Intermediate Students

Teacher's notes: This activity helps you to revise/review correct sentence structures with students.

  1. Print out the sentences and cut them up along the dotted lines.
  2. Put the students into pairs and give them the cut up sentences.
  3. You may give out all of the sentences or only those that contain the structures you wish to revise.
  4. Make sure that you paper clip each cut up sentence together as the students may mix more than one sentence together.
  5. The students should put the words into the correct order.
