Type of activity: This is a vocabulary game in which students add one letter to a word to create a new word using clues
Level: Pre-Intermediate and above


Teacher's notes:

  1. Write the list of words, one to 12 below on the board or dictate them to the students.
  2. Tell them that you are going to read out clues and what they have to do is to add a letter to the original word to create a new word and to answer the clue.

Note: the students could work in pairs to make their own ‘add a letter game’ for the other students.
