A Fashion Shoot

Type: This is a fun game in which students get to take various poses.
Level: Pre-intermediate +

Teacher's notes: This is a fun activity for younger learners.

Cut out various pictures from magazines of models in various poses. Cut out enough for one per pair in your group.
Put the students into pairs and tell the students that you are going to give each pair a picture.
Hand out a picture to one of the students in each pair; tell the students who have the pictures not to show their partners.
Instruct the students who have the pictures to tell their partners how to make the poses in the pictures. Their partners should get into the poses in the pictures.
Once they have done this, tell them to pretend to take the posing students' pictures.
Once they have done this, tell the students to show their pictures to their partners to see if they had understood the instructions correctly.
Collect in the pictures and repeat the activity by handing out different pictures to each pair.
